Ceremonies by Zadie Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Commitment

Effective Date: 1 October 2025

Ceremonies by Zadie celebrates love in all its forms and is built on the belief that every love story deserves to be celebrated with respect, authenticity, and joy, while celebrating and recognising the individuals that each love story belongs to, inclusive of who they are and what they value.

Diversity, equality, and inclusion are woven into everything we do, from first contact to the moment you say “I do”. Every person present should feel welcome, valued, and represented, whatever their background, identity, or beliefs. Every couple deserves a ceremony that feels true to them.

Our Commitment

Ceremonies by Zadie is committed to:

  • Celebrating diversity in all its forms, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age, disability, neurodiversity, religion or belief, and culture.

  • Creating inclusive ceremonies that reflect and respect each couple’s unique story, heritage, and values — exactly as they see fit.

  • Using accessible and inclusive language in all communications, scripts, and marketing, always reflecting each couple’s identity, story, and preferred pronouns.

  • Showcasing genuine diversity across all marketing materials, featuring real, varied, and authentic couples while avoiding tokenism or stereotypes.

  • Respecting individual needs, ensuring that neurodiverse couples (including those with autism, ADHD, or dyslexia) have a positive, flexible, and accessible planning experience.

  • Considering physical accessibility, working collaboratively with venues and suppliers to accommodate disabled couples and guests, and to remove barriers wherever possible.

  • Maintaining accessible digital platforms, ensuring that online materials and documents are usable for people with different access needs.

  • Collaborating with suppliers and venues who share the same commitment to equality, kindness, and respect.

  • Continuing professional development through regular learning and training around diversity, equality, inclusion, and accessibility.

  • Encouraging feedback, with a clear and open process for raising DEI-related concerns or suggestions.

  • Treating everyone with kindness and respect, including fellow wedding professionals, clients, and the wider community — both in person and on social media.

Our Promise

Ceremonies by Zadie complies with the Equality Act 2010 and is committed to going beyond compliance — actively fostering a culture of openness, respect, and belonging for all.
