Wedding Celebrant Buckinghamshire

humanist wedding celebrant, wedding celebrant Buckinghamshire, non-religious wedding ceremony, modern celebrant UK, bespoke wedding ceremony, wedding celebrant Milton Keynes, celebrant-led wedding

Let’s CREATe your ceremony to be full of

your personality

Searching for a wedding celebrant in Buckinghamshire who’ll create something that actually feels like you? Well, you’ve just found her!

I’m Zadie, a professionally trained wedding celebrant and storyteller based in Milton Keynes, creating completely bespoke ceremonies for fun, modern couples across Buckinghamshire.

And because Buckinghamshire is home for me, I know just how much choice there is here. Gorgeous country houses, relaxed barns, outdoor spaces and some properly unusual places to get married too.

With over 12 years in the wedding and events world, plus a background in acting and live performance, I know there’s a lot more to a great ceremony than simply writing a nice script. I don’t just write your ceremony. I design how it feels. Your ceremony should feel like one of the best parts of your wedding day, not just the bit everyone sits through before the party starts.

So expect your story told properly, plenty of personality, lots of laughs, emotional moments that don’t feel forced and a room full of guests who are actually engaged in what’s happening.

Basically, something that makes everyone think, “OMG, that was SO them.”

Wedding Celebrant Buckinghamshire leading ceremony with couple

Buckinghamshire wedding venues I love

There are some absolute gems when it comes to wedding venues in Buckinghamshire, and being based here myself means quite a few of them are practically on my doorstep and I know them super well!

If you’re still venue hunting, here are a few I reckon are well worth a look:

Stowe House - Stowe, near Buckingham

If you want somewhere with serious wow factor, Stowe House definitely delivers. Wit its grand state rooms, incredible architecture and sweeping views across the famous Stowe landscape, it has plenty of different spaces to make the day your own while feeling like you’re in an episode of Bridgerton!

Hedsor House – Taplow, near Maidenhead
A beautiful country house set within its own private estate, with gorgeous interiors, impressive grounds and the option to have the whole place to yourselves. Perfect if you want something luxurious and elegant, but still want your wedding to feel like one big house party with all your favourite people.

Huntsmill Farm – Shalstone, near Buckingham
A relaxed barn wedding venue set on a working family farm, with a beautiful 18th-century stone barn and cottages on site for you and your guests. A great one if you want the countryside setting and modern barn feel without everything becoming overly rustic.

Bucks Railway Centre – Quainton, near Aylesbury

Fancy getting married at an actual heritage railway? With historic stations, vintage carriages and steam trains as your backdrop, this is definitely one for couples who want something a bit different and a wedding their guests aren't going to forget in a hurry.

The Italian Sul Lago – Milton Keynes
A modern Italian restaurant overlooking Furzton Lake, offering something completely different from the traditional barn or country house wedding. Great for couples who want good food, a relaxed atmosphere and a waterside setting finished with a huge blossom tree inside!

What your ceremony could look like

  • Every ceremony I create starts from scratch. There are no templates, recycled scripts, or “insert your names here” energy.

  • Your Buckinghamshire wedding ceremony could include personal vows, storytelling that actually sounds like you, meaningful music or readings, modern symbolic moments (no cringe), guest involvement if you want it, and moments that genuinely land emotionally.

  • Not everything thrown in for the sake of it. Just the right elements, designed properly.

  • The aim is simple. A ceremony that feels intentional, engaging, and completely yours.

and with the ceremonies by zadie experience, you’ll also get:

  • A celebrant who is someone you have chosen and actually want there on the day with you

  • A planning process that’s fun, creative, and doesn’t leave you second-guessing decisions

  • A ceremony built around real storytelling, natural humour, and emotional depth

  • Someone who knows how to read a room and bring people with you

  • A delivery that feels effortless, confident, and completely in tune with you both.

Your ceremony becomes more than a moment.

It becomes a designed experience your guests will feel part of, and one of the most talked about parts of your whole day

Things for Wedding Guests to Do in buckinghamshire

If your guests are making a weekend of it, there’s plenty to keep them busy in Buckinghamshire before (or after!) the main event:

For the explorers: Head into the Chiltern Hills for some seriously lovely countryside and walking routes, explore the gardens and woodland at Cliveden, or spend a few hours at Waddesdon Manor if a beautiful house, gardens and a very good excuse for cake sounds more appealing than a hike. Fun fact: Cliveden and Waddesdon are also fabulous wedding venues that I would recommend in addition to the ones above if you’re still looking!

For the foodies: Marlow is the obvious place to start. It’s become a bit of a foodie destination, with everything from relaxed pubs and independent restaurants to Tom Kerridge’s Michelin-starred The Hand & Flowers. Or keep things more casual and find a good country pub somewhere in the Chilterns for a long lunch.

For the wanderers: Amersham, Marlow and Olney are all lovely for a slower morning of independent shops, cafés and a general mooch around. Or, if your guests are staying closer to Milton Keynes, head to Willen Lake for a walk around the water and some fresh air before the journey home.

For those recovering from the night before: Nobody needs an ambitious itinerary here. Find a good Sunday roast, (my absolute fave is The Swan Inn in MK Village) order plenty of carbs and start piecing together exactly what happened on the dance floor. If everyone’s feeling surprisingly fresh, a gentle walk afterwards might help. If not, there’s always pudding.

Is this right for you

This experience is designed for couples who want something more than a standard scripted ceremony. If you’re looking for a start to your wedding day that reflects your personalities, brings your guests into your story, and sets the tone for an unforgettable celebration, we may be the perfect match.

If you’re looking for a formal, traditional ceremony with little to no personal input, I’m probably not the right celebrant for you - and that’s completely okay!
